Pakistan's Foreign Ministry has confirmed that the country's cricket squad would go to India to compete in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. This choice was made after India categorically stated that it would not tour Pakistan, which prompted Pakistan to threaten to pull out of the World Cup.. India has also declined to send their cricket team to Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023.

Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that sports should not be intertwined with politics. They have elected to send their cricket team to India for the next ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 as a symbol of Pakistan's good and responsible stance, thinking that politics should not be allowed to interfere with international sporting commitments.

Pakistan insists that bilateral relations with India should not conflict with its international cricket obligations. Given that India declined to send a cricket team to Pakistan for the Asia Cup, Pakistan's decision to send their team to India for the tournament shows that they are taking a proactive and responsible stance.

Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed worries regarding the security of their cricket team during their travel to India, and these concerns were relayed with the International Cricket Council (ICC) and Indian authorities. They hope that the Pakistan cricket team's safety will be ensured throughout the journey to India.

The high-octane World Cup encounter between India and Pakistan is set for October 14th at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
