Notably, Tilak was also selected for India's team for the Asian Games in 2023, which will also host the ODI World Cup. Agarkar stated during the press conference that the Asia Cup is an opportunity for him to collaborate with the captain and head coach. If Verma can be accommodated into the team's schedule, he won't be going to Hangzhou for the 2023 Asian Games.
